On 30 September 2023, our coordinator Prof. Rubens de S. Duarte was the guest speaker at the end of the II National Congress on International Relations (CONRI). The professor from the Graduate Programme in Military Sciences at the Meira Mattos Institute ( (PPGCM-IMM-ECEME) ) presented his lecture A winding path: The formulation of defence policy in Brazil, based on an article published in 2022 by the DADOS journal.

Aimed at sharing knowledge and promoting the exchange of experiences between students and professionals working in the field of International Relations, as well as in related areas such as Law and Political Science from all over the country, CONRI 2023 was held between 28 and 30 September on the campus of the Estácio University Centre in Recife-PE. The Congress debated topics such as cyber security, public security, migration and integration, defence policies, among others.
