20 Years of LABMUNDO Seminar, at IESP-UERJ

In 2026, the World Political Analysis Laboratory will complete 20 years since its foundation. To mark this occasion on 28 August, LABMUNDO is bringing together a number of researchers who have been involved in its development at the Institute of Social and Political Studies for a seminar entitled ‘The Collapse of Multilateralism: crises, reconfigurations and the role of the Geopolitical South’.

Anthology on Brazilian authors in International Relations includes a chapter on Carlos Milani

Lemos Mídia is launching the book "Brazilian Authors to Think About the World", edited by Larissa Rosevics. The coordinator emeritus of LABMUNDO is featured in the article "The Essence and Innovation of Carlos R. S. Milani in International Relations in Brazil", written by Prof. Danielle Costa da Silva.

Project AURELA: Lecture by Kevin Parthenay at IESP-UERJ

Last Monday, 15 June, LABMUNDO and the Jean Monnet Chair at UERJ welcomed Prof. Kevin Parthenay (Université de Tours) to deliver a lecture entitled ‘Latin America and the contemporary global order’ at our headquarters at the Institute of Social and Political Studies, an event organised by the project ‘Autonomy and Multilateral Reconfigurations: EU–Latin American Relations”.

LABMUNDO at the 2026 LASA International Congress

Between 26 and 30 May, the Association for Latin American Studies held another edition of its Annual International Conference in Paris (France). The event’s programme included the participation of two representatives from LABMUNDO team.

LABMUNDO participation in the ‘Echoes of Bandung’ seminar at UERJ

On 24 and 25 March, the Laboratory helped organise the thematic seminar ‘Echoes of Bandung’, in partnership with the Laboratory for Decolonial Debates and Practices at UFRJ, Lemcri/UERJ, LabÁsia/UERJ and Nexus/UFRJ.
