LABMUNDO Plenary Session, September 2025
Last Monday, 29 September 2025, the LABMUNDO Rio team met at the Institute of Social and Political Studies (IESP-UERJ) to hold another of our monthly plenary meetings. At these meetings, our researchers gather to discuss the research we are developing and future projects for the Laboratory.

In this plenary, we heard a presentation on research entitled The New Development Bank (NBD) and the Expansion of the BRICs: Investment Patterns and Dynamics, presented by labmundan Polianna de Almeida Portela, a doctoral student in Political Science at the Institute. Afterwards, researcher Henrique Rabello de Carvalho presented some interesting texts for LABMUNDO’s research agenda included in the collection Crisis of multilateralism? Challenges and resilience (Palgrave Macmillan, 2023), organised by Auriane Guilbaud (Université Paris 8), Franck Petiteville (Sciences Po Grenoble), and Frédéric Ramell (Sciences Po Paris).
LABMUNDO plenary sessions are periodic meetings between our team, held in person at IESP-UERJ and intended for discussing the Laboratory’s research agendas, projects under development, and topics of common interest.
