Between 10 and 21 November, Brazil hosted the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference, held in Belém (PA). Amidst an intense schedule of official and parallel events, LABMUNDO participated in some activities, offering its contribution to the debate on the ongoing multilateral negotiations and the global climate emergency outlook.

On 24 November, the Laboratory is proud to welcome Prof. Rita Floyd (University of Birmingham) to give a lecture entitled ‘Right and wrong securitisation: Why ethics matters in security policy and how (not) to securitise’ at our end-of-year plenary session at IESP-UERJ.

On 24 and 25 September, Unochapecó promoted the first edition of the Western Santa Catarina International Relations Meeting. The event featured presentations of articles and other academic works, as well as a closing lecture given by Prof. Rubens de S. Duarte.

From 8 to 11 September, students from the Institute of International Relations and Defence at UFRJ promoted the 13th Academic Week of Defence and International Strategic Management, with LABMUNDO participating in two discussion panels.
