20 Years of LABMUNDO Seminar, at IESP-UERJ
In 2026, the World Political Analysis Laboratory will complete 20 years since its foundation. These two decades have been devoted to research, the generation of knowledge and the training of new researchers focused on understanding the social, economic, political, ecological, technological and cultural transformations that the global order is undergoing in the 21st century.
To mark this significant milestone, on Friday 28 August, LABMUNDO is gathering together a number of researchers who have been involved in its history to present the seminar The Collapse of Multilateralism: crises, reconfigurations and the role of the Geopolitical South’ at our headquarters at the Institute of Social and Political Studies (IESP-UERJ). Throughout the day, from 9.30 am to 7 pm, our team will hold five panel discussions dedicated to analysing and debating the profound crisis facing multilateralism in contemporary geopolitics from perspectives including human rights, international cooperation and foreign policy, amongst others.
