Études Internationales publishes special issue dedicated to the work of Guillaume Devin

In February 2024, Études Internationales, a journal edited by the Graduate School of International Studies at the University of Laval (Canada), published a special issue in honour of the work of Guillaume Devin, professor emeritus at Sciences Po. Among its nine articles dedicated to analysing the political scientist’s contribution to the sociology of International Relations, the publication features the text Guillaume Devin from the Outside: Three Views of French-Speaking Academics (Guillaume Devin vu d’ailleurs : Trois regards d’universitaires francophones), co-signed by Prof. Carlos R. S. Milani, coordinator of LABMUNDO, with Valérie Rosoux (UCLouvain) and Vincent Pouliot (Université McGill).

PhD in Political Science from the University of Paris-Nanterre (UFR-DSP), Guillaume Devin recently retired from his post as professor at the Centre for International Studies (CERI-Sciences Po). Throughout his career, the professor has been an academic partner of LABMUNDO, both in Bahia and in Rio de Janeiro. He took part in various events organised by the Laboratory in Salvador, had his book Sociology of International Relations (EdUFBA, 2009) translated and published by us and was the co-supervisor of our researcher Hugo Bras, always cooperating intensely with our group. A new publication dedicated to Devin’s work will soon be published in Spanish, organised by LABMUNDO’s international researcher Elodie Brun, who was also supervised by the scholar.
