LABMUNDO at ENERI 2025, in Brasília
- 01/10/2025
Between 31 July and 3 August 2025, the National Federation of International Relations Students of Brazil (FENERI) organised the 29th National Encounter of International Relations Students (ENERI) on the campus of the Catholic University of Brasília (UCB). This event offered an intense programme of lectures, presentations of academic papers, and visits to embassies located in the Federal District, with the participation of two representatives from LABMUNDO.

On 1 August, the second day of the Encounter, Prof. Rubens de Siqueira Duarte gave a lecture on the theme The Death of Foreign Policy as State Policy. Held in the University’s JK Auditorium, the lecture presented an analysis of the effects of the disconnect between foreign policy and a broader national project. The following day, the Laboratory coordinator participated in an informal roundtable discussion with event participants.

On the same day, 2 August, Labmundan researcher Renata Albuquerque Ribeiro participated in the panel discussion Brazil and Africa: an ocean connecting the future, alongside Adacir Reis (ISTD) and Anselmo Otavio (DERI-Unifesp). The panel was based on the book of the same name published by the San Tiago Dantas Institute of Law and Economics and Tagore Publishing in the first semester of this year, a collection of texts on relations between Brazil and African countries.

Held annually since 1995, ENERI is the largest event for International Relations students in Latin America, focused on the exchange of knowledge between researchers, professionals and enthusiasts in the field through the dissemination of knowledge and the promotion of networking, academic and social integration.
