LABMUNDO in the latest special edition of Cadernos do CEAS

The Centre for Studies and Social Action (CEAS) is launching the latest edition of its journal Cadernos do CEAS, a special dossier dedicated to the theme Climate Justice, International Organisations and Cooperation: challenges for the 2030 Agenda in Brazil. Co-organised by Prof. Denise Vitale, coordinator of LABMUNDO Bahia, with Danielle Rached, the publication features contributions from researchers from both antennas of our Laboratory:

  • Prof Maria Elisa Huber Pessina (PPGA-Unifacs) co-authored the article International cooperation for development: The gender and climate agenda of Germany and the United Kingdom in the Brazilian Amazon, together with Maria Cândida Arrais, Andrea Silva Azevedo and Diego da Silva Santos.
  • Katiani Lucia Zape is the author of the article Challenges for the climate emergency: An analysis of local spaces.
  • The article Climate migration in the Brazilian Amazon: The ongoing emergency and the challenges facing international organisations in the region is co-authored by Prof. José Sacchetta Ramos Mendes (IHAC-UFBA) and Priscila Spécie.
  • Labmundo Rio de Janeiro researchers Emanuel Semedo, Janaína Pinto and Mariana Castro contributed The energy transition in dispute in the Brazilian state: Political-bureaucratic coalitions and oil exploration at the mouth of the Amazon, written in partnership with Diogo Ives, a researcher at the OIMC.

Founded in 1969, Cadernos do CEAS is a publication dedicated to discussing social issues, always from the perspective of analysing the Brazilian reality in its international context, co-edited by the Graduate Programme in Social Policies at the Catholic University of Pernambuco (Unicap) and the Instituto Humanitas.
