LABMUNDO and Minerva welcome Stefan Bayer for online panel discussion
On 9 December 2024, Monday, LABMUNDO and the Conflict, Strategy and Intelligence Research Group (Minerva) of the Graduate Programme in Military Sciences (PPGCM-IMM) at the Army Command and Staff College (ECEME) invited Prof. Stefan Bayer (GIDS – Germany) to give the online presentation Sustainable defence as basic requirement for operational armed forces in the future.
Held through the Zoom platform, starting at 2pm (BRT), the event will be offered exclusively in English, without simultaneous translation. The panel will be opened by our coordinator, Prof Rubens de S. Duarte, and Prof Sandro Teixeira (PPGCM-ECEME), coordinator of Minerva, with Tamiris Santos (Loughborough University) mediating the conversation. A PhD in Public Finance and Environmental Policy from the University of Tubingen (Germany), Stefan Bayer is a professor of economics at the University of the Armed Forces Hamburg (Helmut-Schmidt-Universität) and co-founder of the German Institute for Strategic and Defence Studies (GIDS). He is currently researching climate change and the strategic role that the armed forces play in this process.
